Luis Alberto Lopez vs Daniel Lugo

This looks like a comeback fight for Luis Alberto Lopez, but Daniel Lugo is no soft touch. Lopez remains awkward, compact and difficult to read, throwing from strange angles and changing rhythm before opponents can settle. Lugo is taller, punches straighter and carries power to test Lopez’s whiskers, especially after the brutal knockout defeat to Angelo Leo. His best chance is the straight right as Lopez leaps in with his hands apart. Lopez must crowd him, work the body and turn the contest into an untidy straightener. Lugo may have early success, but Lopez has the better engine, world-level experience, and greater variety. I expect him to take control as the rounds pass and force the stoppage in the second half.
