Reasoning

As late replacement fights go, this should be good while it lasts. Sandoval must take Mendoza’s power seriously, but I rate Sandoval’s win over Teraji above Mendoza’s knockout tally, especially after Mendoza was stopped by Simsri.

Sandoval should work behind the jab, position his lead foot outside the southpaw’s, and drive the right hand through. Body shots should follow. Mendoza’s chance is catching him coming in with the straight left. Sandoval must finish his combinations and move; hanging about in front would be asking for trouble.

I reckon Mendoza makes it exciting early, then Sandoval’s pressure and cleaner work take over. Keep him resetting, push him towards the ropes and make him work. Sandoval by late stoppage.
